Silver Star Begonia is a perennial small shrub, with an optimal growing temperature of around 25°C in summer, somewhat cold-tolerant, and sensitive to direct sunlight. The optimal growing temperature in winter is 15°C, requiring ample sunlight and moderate water control. It belongs to the fibrous-rooted begonias and is a hybrid of the white-spotted begonia and the richly adorned begonia. The flowers are large, ranging from white to pink, and borne on short peduncles in the axils. The blooming period is from July to August. Suitable for potted display, the entire plant can be used for medicinal purposes.
