It is the stems, leaves, roots, and latex of Euphorbia milii, a plant of the Euphorbiaceae family. It can be harvested throughout the year, dried or used fresh. It is often cultivated in gardens. Bitter, astringent, neutral. Slightly toxic.

【Usage and Dosage】
10-15 flowers; externally, an appropriate amount of fresh stem and leaves (without thorns) mashed and applied to the affected area.
【Applications】
① For oral ulcers:
Fresh Euphorbia milii stems and leaves, mixed with brown sugar, mashed and applied externally, changed once a day.
② For scrofula:
One egg, pierced with a small hole, 10 drops of Euphorbia milii juice into the egg, wrapped in five layers of wet sandpaper, warmed, taken two at a time.
③ For fish mouth, anal abscess:
Appropriate amount of Euphorbia milii root mashed, mixed with wine and warmed, applied to the affected area.
④ For carbuncles and swelling:
Fresh Euphorbia milii root, mashed with wine lees and warmed, applied to the affected area.
⑤ For bamboo or wooden splinters stuck in the flesh:
A few drops of Euphorbia milii sap, dropped on the affected area, wait for the splinter to come out of the skin, and then it can be removed.
【Original Morphology】
Perennial succulent shrub. Stems erect or climbing, up to 1 meter long; spines hard and sharp, 1-2.5 cm long, or arranged in 5 rows on the longitudinal ridges of the stem. Leaves alternate, usually on young branches; obovate or oblong-spatulate, 2.5-5 cm long, apex rounded with a small projection, base narrow and楔形 (wedge-shaped) with a tip, entire. Cyathium inflorescences 2-4, arranged in dichotomous cymes with long peduncles; involucral leaves bright red, broadly ovate or reniform, about 8 mm long, 10-12 mm in diameter; flowers unisexual, without perianth, male and female flowers together in a calyx-like involucre; male flowers numerous, with 1 stamen; female flower solitary in the center of the inflorescence, ovary superior, style 3, stigma 2-lobed. Capsule fruit, 3 chambers. Flowering period May to September, fruiting period June to October.
