What aquatic plants can survive all year round and thrive when thrown into water? Recommendations for such plants.

What are the aquatic plants that do not die throughout the four seasons

The editor introduces the aquatic plants that do not die throughout the four seasons and the recommended green plants for maintenance that can survive by just being thrown into the water. Let's learn about them together.

Hello everyone, welcome to Yiershui Aquatics.

There are many players who enjoy planted aquariums, but the path to officially getting into the hobby is too long. Many people don't know which aquatic plants are easy to grow, and some planted tank enthusiasts have had many failed experiences. Today, I am recommending several aquatic plants that are hard to kill.

The first type of aquatic plant is moss, which is classified as a shade-loving plant by planted tank enthusiasts. Moss does not require strong lighting; in fact, too much light can hinder its growth. Moreover, the aquarium does not need to supply carbon dioxide, which solves many beginners' problems with unfamiliar equipment.

Common types of moss include large triangle moss, weeping moss, flame moss, and beauty phoenix moss. However, not all mosses are easy to grow. For example, coral moss requires a high supply of carbon dioxide, so beginners should avoid it.

The second type of aquatic plant is water wisteria, whether it's small water wisteria or any type of mini wisteria, they are all very easy to keep alive. It is often seen in aquarium landscaping with shade-loving plants. Additionally, pairing moss with water wisteria creates a nice aquarium scene.

The third type of aquatic plant is chili rhizome, which actually belongs to the same family as water wisteria, both being Araceae plants. Why is chili rhizome listed separately? Because it has many varieties and its growth form is quite different from water wisteria.

Chili rhizome aquatic plants used to be known as noble aquatic plants and were quite expensive, making many planted tank enthusiasts hesitant. Now they seem to be cheaper, and are often seen in rainforest-style planted tanks, as well as in South American style tanks, where they are essential companion plants.

The fourth type is mini chili grass, which I also have in my aquarium, though it doesn't look so mini anymore. This plant is also a shade-lover and propagates much faster than chili rhizome and water wisteria. I originally had only 6 in my aquarium, and now, after more than a year, there are over 100.

The fifth type of aquatic plant is centipede grass, which is very easy to grow, and can survive simply by being soaked in an aquarium. From an ornamental and planted tank landscaping perspective, this plant is usually not found in professional players' tanks. However, centipede grass is often given away as a gift by aquarium stores and used as a simple aquatic plant decoration in tanks.

The sixth type of aquatic plant is Cabomba, which grows very fast. Some goldfish enthusiasts have said that when Cabomba is kept in an aquarium, the goldfish can't eat it fast enough, showing how easy this plant is to keep alive.

Okay, the introduction of the six aquatic plants is complete. All these plants do not require carbon dioxide. Do you know any other easy-to-grow aquatic plants? Welcome to leave comments and share below.
