Species Introduction
Cosmos (Scientific name: Cosmos bipinnata Cav., also known as Mexican Aster) is a plant of the Asteraceae family, Cosmos genus, annual or perennial herbaceous, 1-2 meters tall. The leaves are twice pinnately lobed, with linear or filiform lobes. The capitulum is solitary, 3-6 cm in diameter, with ligulate flowers that are purple, pink, or white, elliptical-obovate ligulate petals, flowering from June to August, and fruiting from September to October.
