Watermelon Peel Peperomia Plant Introduction

The Watermelon Peel Peperomia, also known as Douban Green Peppergrass, is a perennial herbaceous plant that remains evergreen throughout the year. It has cluster-forming plants with short stems that bear watermelon peel-shaped shield leaves. The plant height is about 15-20 centimeters. It prefers a high temperature, humid, semi-shaded environment with high air humidity. It is intolerant to cold and extreme heat. For pot cultivation, a soil mix mainly consisting of decomposed leaf soil is recommended, which can be mixed with decomposed leaf soil, garden soil, and river sand in equal parts. If excessive fertilization occurs, especially with too much nitrogen fertilizer and a lack of phosphorus, it can cause the leaf patterns to disappear, reducing its ornamental value.
