How to prune succulents
Today, I will introduce to you how to prune succulents and the content of four common decapitation methods for growing green plants and flowers, as follows:
Short and fat succulent decapitation method
If you want to decapitate a short and fat succulent, it's quite simple. Yao Yao uses a Shou You as an example, prepare the succulent as well as multi-jin ling and thin thread. This thread is the tool for the job.

Wrap the thin thread around the base of the succulent like wearing a necklace, with the leaves you want to keep below the thread, and the head you want to cut above the thread. Cross the looped thread over itself.

Using the twine method, wrap the two ends of the thread around your fingers and pull them towards both ends with force. If the succulent base becomes loose during the pulling process, use the remaining fingers to hold it in place.

Finally, use a tissue to dry the sap that oozes from the cut, and sprinkle multi-jin ling powder on the cut area of the succulent. After decapitation, the succulent can grow new heads, and the cut-off part can still be propagated by leaf insertion.

Decapitation method for etiolated succulents
While it's better to live than to die, an etiolated succulent can be quite frustrating. When encountering such a stubborn case, it's better to reduce the plant height by decapitation, turning one pot into two, and a single head into multiple heads.

Prepare a clean blade and cut at the etiolated part of the succulent. Apply multi-jin ling powder to the wound, and after keeping it in a dimly lit and well-ventilated area, small succulents will start to sprout on the stem in about two weeks.
Don't throw away the cut-off top of the succulent either. After the cut is dried, find some plastic bottles to prop up the succulent, with the bottom of the succulent 0.5 cm away from the water surface. Once roots have been induced in water, they can be transplanted into soil.
