Many succulent enthusiasts must have encountered the situation where newly purchased succulents do not grow roots for a long time and are in a僵苗 (dormant) state. What should we do when faced with such a situation?

Below, I introduce a method to revive succulents to my friends, which is hydroponic root induction!

First, prepare an empty bottle, pour water into it without filling it up, then place the succulent at the mouth of the bottle, with the best position being where the succulent roots do not touch the water.

If the succulents do not have new roots, the roots can easily rot if they are soaked in water for a long time. Placing the succulent on the cup for about 10 days will cause new roots to grow.

Hydroponic root growth is indeed good, but there are also precautions to note. In fact, hydroponic root growth is an inducing effect on succulent root growth, promoting rapid root growth in high humidity. However, hydroponics cannot provide sufficient nutrients for succulents, so once the new roots grow to about one centimeter, they can be planted in a pot with soil, supplementing nutrients in time to allow the succulents to grow and adapt quickly.

During the root induction period for succulents in autumn, they must be placed where sunlight can reach. As autumn sunlight is not intense, there is no need to worry about sunburn. With sufficient sunlight and suitable temperature, there will be condensation on the cup walls, creating an environment more conducive to root growth. If it is summer, they should be placed in a place with diffused light and not exposed to direct sunlight.
