The cultivation method of the twelve-volume plant
Today's sharing: the content related to the twelve-volume succulent plants, the cultivation method of the twelve-volume plants, specifically introduced as follows:
There are many articles on the cultivation methods of twelve-volume plants, and this article is based on the author's own experience. Although the language is not elegant, the insights are valuable. Flower friends should note that because the cultivation environment is different, it is not recommended to copy it completely. It should be combined with their own situation for reference.
I. Soil:
I usually use pure granules for the soil. My soil mix is Akadama 5, Kusakai 3,植金石 1, and particle peat 1. Sieve out the powder before mixing, which is a crucial step. After mixing, I usually sprinkle two bags of carbendazim (100g) into a basin of soil and stir well. This kind of soil is suitable for plants with well-developed roots.
If you receive a plant with weak or no roots from online shopping, don't worry. It's not necessarily a bad thing, as regrowing roots can be more beneficial for plant growth and acclimatization. For root development, I use a mix of 7 parts vermiculite and 3 parts perlite and place the plant directly on the soil surface. Keep the soil moist but not wet, and maintain a temperature between 20-30 degrees Celsius. It usually takes about a week for new roots to emerge. When a large area of soil moves with the plant when gently pushed, it indicates that the plant has rooted and the rootlets have gripped the soil. In this case, I usually let the plant continue to grow in the rooting soil for a period to strengthen the roots, for about 20-30 days.
Plants with healthy roots should not have the vermiculite attached to the roots shaken off when transplanting into pure granular soil. After pulling out, plant it directly into the pure granular soil with the clump of vermiculite. Before repotting, I spray the granular soil with water. After repotting, water thoroughly after a week, and then manage normally. When the plant shows obvious growth, you can add a moderate amount of fertilizer. I use Ogreen A2. When the leaves and roots turn light green, it indicates that the plant is growing.
II. Light:
Usually, for home cultivation, twelve-volume plants are kept in sunlight through glass. Except for summer, which can be kept in full sunlight, the so-called no sunlight or semi-shady cultivation of twelve-volume plants on the internet is not feasible in my opinion. It goes against the nature of plants and is unscientific. Moreover, my own experience of such cultivation does not yield as good results as my method. As for the so-called diffused light, I don't even understand what it means, it's too vague. In summer, I usually just pull up the curtains at home.
III. Watering:
I usually water by immersion, removing the pot when the surface soil has completely changed color. Regarding the timing of watering, everyone should follow one principle: never let the soil dry out completely. Water when it's slightly moist. If beginners can't tell, they can use a simple method: water another pot with the same soil and soil. When in doubt, pour out the soil from this pot to check.
Let's talk about water. If possible, use distilled water. Do not let tap water stand for too long, especially avoid exposing it to sunlight, as this increases alkalinity. If not too麻烦, I always adjust the pH of the water to 5-5.5. With my soil mix, after watering thoroughly, the water that flows out of the pot bottom is around pH 6. This method has not resulted in any结晶 on the surface of the potting soil.
IV. Closed Cultivation:
I also use closed cultivation, but I prefer to call it "hospitalization." I only use closed cultivation when the plant is withered. Generally, after watering thoroughly, I keep it closed for two days and it does work, but it's not suitable for summer. Since no one is at home, we usually don't turn on the air conditioner, and the indoor temperature is too high, which can cause the flowers to be suffocated. Please be cautious! Twelve-volume plants require a higher humidity, so southern flower friends may have some advantages, while in the dry climate of the north, I use three high-power humidifiers to solve the humidity problem.
All of these are my personal experiences with home cultivation of twelve-volume plants. Again, I must emphasize that everyone's environment is different, so my experience can only serve as a reference and cannot be applied universally. It is not a standard cultivation manual. Take it as a reference!
