Guide to Cultivating Ji Longyue: Method for Cultivating Ji Longyue

Method of cultivating Ji Longyue

For many girls, the experience related to the succulent plant Ji Longyue, and the cultivation method of Ji Longyue, we will learn about it together next.

Ji Longyue is a hybrid variant of Longyue. The cultivation method of Ji Longyue is not difficult. Ji Longyue is a small plant that needs to be repotted every 2 to 4 years depending on its growth state. The pot diameter can be 1 to 2 inches larger than the plant diameter, which can promote plant growth. The medium must be completely dry before watering, and a long-acting fertilizer can be applied every quarter. Propagation is done through leaf insertion and cutting off the top to burst small side buds, which can be carried out throughout the year, or by sowing.

Example of plant care by a hobbyist:

Kite's Ji Longyue is grown in a sunroom. Once the temperature exceeds 35 degrees, a shade net is used to shade the plant, otherwise it might get sunburned. Then, water is gradually reduced, and during the entire summer dormancy period, little or no water is given. When the temperature drops in mid-September, watering is resumed. Ji Longyue adapted to the sunroom can still grow normally in summer, with less obvious dormancy. However, due to reduced watering, the leaves may become slightly thinner and the stems may grow a bit longer.

In winter, if the temperature can be maintained above 0 degrees, water can be given. Below 0 degrees, water should be stopped, otherwise it is prone to frostbite and root rot. Although it is cold in winter, it is not necessary to completely stop watering throughout the season. Kite will slightly give some water to the roots of the plant at the right time. Do not spray or give too much water, as water left in the leaf heart for too long can easily cause rot. On sunny days with sufficient ventilation, water can be sprayed to clean the dust off the leaves. Since the leaf plates are smooth and slightly powdery, they do not accumulate water, so it does not affect the appearance. This washing will make the plant even more beautiful.

In spring, as the temperature rises, watering can be gradually resumed.

Ji Longyue is a very easy-to-grow variety and is also prone to clustering. Besides summer when appropriate shading is needed, it can be kept in full sun in other seasons. The soil used by Kite is a mixture of peat and granular coal slag, with the main focus being on breathable soil. Although home cultivation cannot match the natural environment, as long as the soil is thoroughly dry before watering, it can be watered thoroughly. Ji Longyue is a very robust variety, cultivated in many places, and can also be grown outdoors.

The above sharing of the specific introduction to the cultivation method of Ji Longyue is hoped to bring some floral knowledge to flower enthusiasts.
