Tianzhi Yuxiu requires a sunny and cool, dry environment, is tolerant to semi-shade, but dislikes waterlogging and avoids hot and humid conditions. It has the habit of growing in the cold season and dormant in the hot summer. From September of each year to June of the following year is the growing period of the plant (different environments of flower friends will have different growth periods). Tianzhi Yuxiu can endure a low temperature of about -1℃ when the potting soil is dry, which is the indoor temperature, not outdoors. Watering is basically stopped during the entire winter, and it should start to reduce watering when the temperature drops below 5 degrees. When the temperature exceeds 35℃ in summer, the plant's growth basically stops. At this time, reduce watering to prevent root rot caused by excessively moist potting soil. Increase ventilation, provide some shade, and avoid direct sunlight. This is the basic care during the whole summer. It is worth mentioning that in the summer, the kite does not completely stop watering, but only gives a small amount of water to prevent the old leaves from drying out. Watering is done at the edge of the pot, about 2 times a month, between 7-9 pm when the sun has already set, which will not affect the plant's roots. Since Tianzhi Yuxiu grows relatively fast, changing the pot every 1-2 years is fine. Potting should be done before the first watering in early spring. Tianzhi Yuxiu does not have a very small shape, has branches, and can be propagated by cutting and dividing. Branch propagation is simple; take a healthy old branch, let it dry, and plant it in slightly moist sandy soil. It will usually grow roots in more than 20 days in a shady and ventilated environment. Do not water frequently during propagation to avoid stem rot. Propagation should be done in spring and autumn.
