Lition Feng
Let me share with you the knowledge introduction of the succulent plant Lition Feng (Sinocrassula densirosulata), the experience of raising Lition Feng, keep reading!
Lition Feng (Sinocrassula densirosulata) is a perennial hairless herb of the Crassulaceae family, with a blue-gray plant color. The leaves are full and beautiful in shape, resembling many extended little fingers that are strong and upright. The leaves of the plant slightly curve towards the center, forming a spherical shape, with leaves densely arranged in a rosette.
The leaves of Lition Feng are long and thick, with pointed tips. The leaf color will become very beautiful blue-red under strong light, large day-night temperature differences, or during the low temperature of winter. The leaf tips will also turn slightly red, while under weak light, the leaves will be light blue, narrow and long, and thinner. The entire surface of the Lition Feng leaves is covered with dense dark patterns, which will turn red under sunlight. The new leaves' dark patterns are not red, and the leaves are slightly covered with white powder, which falls off from old leaves, leaving them smooth and with cluster inflorescences of pink-white flowers that bloom upwards.
Lition Feng needs to be exposed to sufficient sunlight for the leaf color to be brilliant, the plant shape to be tighter and more beautiful, and the leaves to be fleshy. Lition Feng is a small plant that needs to be repotted every 2-3 years according to its growth state. The pot diameter can be 1-2 inches larger than the plant diameter to promote plant growth. The medium must be dry before watering, and a slow-release fertilizer can be applied once every quarter. Propagation is done through leaf insertion and cutting off the top to trigger small side buds, which can be done throughout the year.
Kite's Lition Feng is kept in a sunroom. Once the temperature exceeds 35 degrees, a shading net is used to shade the sun, and then water is gradually reduced. During the whole summer dormancy period, little or no water is given. When the temperature drops in mid-September, watering is resumed. Lition Feng that has adapted to the sunroom can still grow normally in the summer, with the dormancy not being very noticeable. In winter, if the temperature can be maintained above 0 degrees, water can be given, but below 0 degrees, watering should be stopped to prevent frostbite.
Although it is cold in winter, it is not that no water is given at all during the winter. A little water is given at the base of the plant at appropriate times. Do not spray or give too much water, as water retention in the leaf heart for too long can cause rotting. When the weather is good and there is enough ventilation, clear water can be sprayed to clean the dust off the leaves, making the plant more beautiful. After the temperature rises in spring, watering can be gradually resumed.
Lition Feng is a very easy-to-care-for variety. Except for needing proper shading in the summer, it can be exposed to full sun in other seasons. The soil used by Kite is a mixture of peat and granular coal slag and river sand, with clean river sand laid on the soil surface. The soil is mainly for breathability, and the natural environment cannot be compared when raising it at home, so water thoroughly when dry.
