The Brown Finch Fan is a perennial succulent plant with opposite leaves. The fan-shaped brown leaves have no spots, with white margins on the edges and irregular wavy teeth. They are about 1-2 centimeters long, ranging from green-brown to gray-brown. The leaf surface has no white powder. Insufficient light during cultivation can cause the stems and leaves to elongate, resulting in a loose plant shape, greener leaf color, fading of the color around the leaf edges, and a lack of vitality in the plant. Strong sunlight in the summer can cause the leaf tips and leaves to wither.
Therefore, apart from providing appropriate shading during the high temperatures of summer, sufficient light should be given in other seasons to make the gray-brown leaves more prominent and beautifully contrast with the white edges. The Brown Finch Fan can be repotted every two to four years depending on its growth state, with the pot diameter slightly larger than the plant diameter to promote growth. The medium should be completely dry before watering, and slow-release fertilizer can be applied.
Propagation is done through leaf insertion and cutting the top, as well as by taking side buds for cutting. The Brown Finch Fan, when grown in groups, is quite attractive.
