Li Zhong Ge is a succulent plant with clustering growth, deep green cylindrical fleshy stems, about 20 cm tall, with ridges and dense purple wart-like projections on the ridges. Flowers appear at the base of the young stems, bell-shaped, yellow-green with brownish-red patterns, blooming in summer and autumn. Propagation of Li Zhong Ge can be done by dividing the plant during the spring potting change. It is also possible to select a healthy fleshy stem during the growing season, let it dry slightly, and then propagate it in sandy soil. Li Zhong Ge plants are exquisite and lovely, resembling certain columnar cacti in shape.
