Gasteria armstrongii f.variegata is a perennial succulent herb, a variety of Woniujin and Zhanjin mutations. It is an ornamental leaf plant, with no stem or very short stems, and robust succulent roots. The young plants have leaves in two rows, overlapping. The succulent leaves are thick and hard, tongue-shaped, with green or dark green surfaces, slightly glossy, densely covered with small papillae, making the leaves appear rough. The raceme inflorescence has pendant flowers, with the lower part orange-red and the upper part green, giving a red on top and green on the bottom appearance due to its pendant growth. It thrives in a warm and dry environment, suitable for growing in ample and soft sunlight. The potting soil should be loose and fertile, with good drainage and ventilation. It can also be grown in small craft pots for home decoration, such as tables and windowsills, presenting a fresh and elegant look, like a living artwork, quite unique.
