Ivory Palace Succulent Introduction

Ivory Palace Pachypodium rosulatum var. gracilius——Apocynaceae Pachypodium, native to Madagascar, also commonly known as Elephant's Foot. It is a perennial shrub with a bottle-shaped trunk, prefers sunny and rocky areas, with a succulent stem and underground tuber, allowing the plant to tolerate long periods of drought. The leaves form a rosette at the top of the branches, dark green. The flowers are yellow and form an inflorescence about 30 centimeters (12 inches) high, blooming from February to May. The fruit is 6 to 20 inches long, with seeds about 6 millimeters long.
