Cactus Water Strombocactus disciformis - belongs to the Cactaceae family, Cactus Water genus, and is native to Mexico. It has spirally arranged diamond-shaped warty tubercles, a flat or spherical body, green or gray-green epidermis, radish roots, and very small seeds. The blooming period is generally from spring to summer, with white flowers. The growth rate is relatively slow, requiring well-drained and mineral-poor substrates with minimal organic matter for seedlings. It needs strong sunlight and minimal watering to maintain a compact and flat shape. When the night temperature consistently drops below 10°C, it is recommended to keep it completely dry. In winter, when the substrate is completely dry, it can withstand temperatures as low as -4°C.
