Cactus Schlumbergera Plant Introduction

Schlumbergera is a plant of the Cactaceae family, Schlumbergera genus, with symmetrical flowers that bloom in February. It prefers a warm and humid climate, with soil rich in organic matter and good drainage. Keep the soil moist during the growing season. Apply a thin layer of fertilizer every two weeks. During the hot summer, it often enters dormancy, at which time watering should be reduced. It is a short-day plant and blooms in winter. After the spring blooming season, the flat stems of Schlumbergera become thin and瘦 due to excessive nutrient consumption from flowering, and watering should be reduced, fertilizer application stopped, and more exposure to light is needed. Around mid-April, move it outdoors and place it in full sunlight. Native to Brazil and Bolivia.
