How to save the gardenia when it widens
When gardenia shows withering symptoms such as wilting leaves and drooping branches, many flower friends will be at a loss. As a typical acid soil plant, the wilting of gardenia is often caused by multiple factors. This article will systematically analyze the treatment plan from five dimensions to revitalize your gardenia. 1. Precise moisture management 1.1 Emergency treatment for water shortage When the basin soil is gray-white and the leaves are curled, it is necessary to use the dipping basin method to replenish water immediately: immerse the flowerpot in the water basin for 30 minutes, and drain it after the soil is completely moist. Use a hygrometer to measure the soil moisture content every week and maintain it at 40-60%. 1.2 Water rescue plan Water accumulation at the bottom of the basin for more than 24 hours will cause suffocation of the roots, and the roots need to be removed immediately. Use bamboo chopsticks to poke air holes in the soil ball, place it in a ventilated place to dry in the shade for 3 days, and then put it back into the basin. In case of emergency, rice vinegar water diluted 100 times (5ml/time) can be watered. Ferrous sulfate is recommended for long-term conditioning (applied at a ratio of 1:1000 for half a month). 3.2 The substrate reconstruction plan is to mix garden soil, leaf soil and river sand with a ratio of 4:4:2, and mix 5% sulfur powder. Keep 1/3 of the core soil when changing pots. The new soil needs to be steamed and disinfected at high temperature to ensure that there are no diseased eggs left. 4. Combined with the weekly spray of brassinolide (0.01mg/L) can activate plant growth potential. It is recommended to prune early in the morning and apply plant ash to the incision to prevent infection.
