I. The timing for planting potted lilies should either be in spring, from March to May, or a bit later in June since the temperature gradually rises, which is not suitable for planting lily bulbs. However, some flower enthusiasts in areas where the temperature is not too high have successfully planted bulbs in June that still bloomed beautifully. Alternatively, you can choose to plant in autumn, preparing plump bulbs without damage or decay, which are more likely to bloom and have brighter and more beautiful colors.

II. Prepare a suitable pot and potting soil. The pot for growing lilies can be made of plastic or pottery, with a diameter of about 15 centimeters and a certain depth, as lily stems will grow quite tall later. A pot that is too shallow is not suitable; it should be at least 20 centimeters deep. The potting soil should be breathable, loose, fertile, and have good drainage. Adding some perlite or other granules is fine. It is best to use acidic soil and not alkaline soil, as soil that is too compact and sticky is also not good.
III. The process of planting lily bulbs is simple. Before planting, the bulbs can be soaked in a carbendazim solution. Cover the soil with more and bury them deeply. After the bulbs are buried, learn to control the watering. After watering once, do not water continuously multiple times. Let the potting soil become slightly dry before watering again, otherwise, it is easy for the bulbs to rot.
