How to Plant Narcissus

For the relevant experience of planting narcissus and the key points of cultivation techniques, please see the detailed introduction below.

Narcissus is a plant that we often see in life. It prefers warm, humid, well-drained, and sunny conditions, with a strong vitality. Next, we will specifically introduce from two aspects: planting methods and precautions.

1. Hydroponic Planting

If you want to plant narcissus hydroponically, you should choose a healthy narcissus with no damage to the skin, clean it, peel off the outer skin of the narcissus to expose its tender buds, make a vertical cut on the sides of the top of the narcissus bulb without small bulbs, one-third of the bulb's depth, only cutting the bulb scales, and be careful not to hurt the tender leaf buds. Then soak it for about two days. On the third day, you can place it in a disinfected container, adding water to cover one-third of the narcissus bulb. Also, the roots need to be cleaned, cutting off the old roots at the bottom of the narcissus.

2. Soil Planting

Soil planting of narcissus is generally done in October to November. Use a clay pot, then fill it with fertile and loose soil, peel off the withered bulb scales of the narcissus head, remove some old and weak roots, and then plant it in the soil, with a depth of 1-2 centimeters, and finally place it in a cool and ventilated place to wait for it to root.

3. Precautions

The newly planted narcissus needs to change the water once a day. When the narcissus flower bud forms, it is necessary to change the water once a week, and a small amount of nutrient solution can also be added to supplement the nutrients for the narcissus. Change the water promptly when the water becomes turbid. During the day, the narcissus should be placed in a sunny place, and at night, the water in the pot should be poured out and placed indoors to prevent the leaves from growing too long. Add clean water the next day.

Raising narcissus does not require fertilizer; clean water can meet the daily growth needs of narcissus. The temperature for planting narcissus should not be too high or too low, generally maintaining 10℃-20℃ in the early stage, and suitable for growth in a place with a temperature of 20℃-25℃ in the later stage. Narcissus prefers a sunny environment, and insufficient sunlight may affect its growth.

The methods introduced above for planting narcissus and the key points of cultivation techniques can be used as reference suggestions for everyone.
