When do hyacinths bloom?
A comprehensive analysis of when hyacinths bloom and an introduction to the green plants and flowers related to hyacinth flowering times, with specific details as follows:
With false "blueberries" hanging from the branches, find the blooming period of hyacinths! Add some "special effect fertilizer" for a truly beautiful bloom.
Hyacinths are one of my favorite plants, mainly because they look nice and have many benefits.
If you read my articles from the past few days, you would know that among the plants that purify the air, there is hyacinth. Hyacinths have a strong ability to purify the air, and there's no need to worry that the flowers will change color after inhaling harmful gases. They won't, not at all.
Hyacinths and narcissus actually have a slight connection, but don't guess randomly. These two plants are neither distant nor close relatives. Hyacinths are simply called the "foreign narcissus." Even I can't see much resemblance to narcissus... Hyacinths have two main places of origin: one is around the Netherlands and the other is around Rome. However, people today tend to consider the Netherlands as the authentic origin.
Hyacinths come in many colors, such as white, purple, and pink. Each flower is actually quite small, but a hyacinth plant can produce many flowers, so when they are grouped together, they look like clusters. The leaves of hyacinths are really adorable, not the elongated type. Although they are elliptical, they are quite wide and look a bit chubby.
When do hyacinths bloom?
One interesting thing is that before hyacinths bloom, their bulbs look like garlic. I guess that's why they are called "foreign narcissus," since the roots of narcissus also look like a garlic bulb. Their viability is relatively high, with a good adaptability to both hot and cold weather. However, one peculiar thing about them is that they prefer a dry environment in the summer but a moist one in the winter.
This poses quite a challenge for our operations. In the summer, it should be dry but we can't completely stop watering, so we can only consider watering the leaves.
In the winter, how can we ensure warmth and moisture? It's best to move the hyacinths indoors to care for them, as most of the time there is heating indoors. It's best to use warm water for watering, which is a bit more troublesome.
Many friends want to know when hyacinths bloom so they can enjoy their beauty more timely. Generally speaking, hyacinths bloom in March or April, and by June, they start to enter dormancy. Some friends think that once they enter dormancy, they can be ignored, but that's not correct. During the dormancy period, hyacinths are prone to dry leaves, which need to be pruned. This issue should not be overlooked.
