2. Rootstock Selection
Cut the strong branches from the osmanthus tree to use as the rootstock. Use a knife to trim the cut edge into a U-shaped groove 2 centimeters long, the width the same as the scion, and half the depth of the scion.
3. Grafting Process
Trim the scion into a rounded shape, retaining 2 leaves and 3 buds, peel off the epidermis of the scion, place it into the previously trimmed groove of the rootstock, ensure a tight fit, tie them together with a string, and wrap them with plastic film.

1. Temperature
After grafting, the osmanthus tree should be placed in a shady and well-ventilated area, with the temperature controlled around 20 degrees Celsius. In summer, the temperature should not exceed 35 degrees Celsius, and in winter, it should not be below 5 degrees Celsius to avoid frost damage.
2. Watering
Water the grafted osmanthus moderately to keep the soil moist. Do not water too little to avoid dryness due to lack of water. Also, do not water too much to avoid waterlogging issues.
