Crape Myrtle, also known as Tree of Surprise, Hundred-Day Red, Full-Room Red, and Itchy-Tree, belongs to the Lythraceae family and Lagerstroemia genus of dicotyledonous plants. It is a deciduous shrub or small tree. The flowering period is from June to September, and the fruiting period is from July to September. Crape Myrtle is an excellent ornamental plant, suitable for beautifying gardens, parks, and green spaces, as well as for potted plant appreciation. It thrives in sunlight, slightly shade-tolerant, drought-resistant, avoids waterlogging, is耐修剪 (tolerant to pruning), and has strong sprouting ability. Native to southern Asia and northern Australia.
