How to make a green climber column
Today, I will introduce to you how to make a green climber column and the details of using plastic bottles to create a plant column in the field of green plants and flowers. Next, the editor will provide you with a detailed explanation.
Green climber is a vine plant. In the seedling stage, it is short and upright. As it grows longer, it will slowly turn into a vine. After becoming a vine, how to deal with the branches becomes an issue. Some people like to put it high up and make it hang down, while others prefer to tie its branches together to create a green climber column. Today, I will share with you a method of tying green climber using a few simple plastic bottles to grow it into a small tree.
Materials preparation
First, we need to prepare some materials: a large flower pot, nutrient soil, green climber seedlings, some clean plastic bottles, 502 adhesive, and palm tree bark (optional).
Creating the plant column
Make several holes in the body of a mineral water bottle, making the holes large. Place the holes-punched bottle in the center of the flower pot and secure it with 502 adhesive. Fill the bottle with soil, and also fill the flower pot with soil, then plant the green climber seedlings around the pot in the soil.
Take another mineral water bottle, make holes in it, cut off both the mouth and bottom of the bottle, and place it over the first bottle. Secure the joint with adhesive.
How to make a green climber column
If conditions permit, you can wrap the outside of the bottle with palm bark. If not, you can keep the bottle's original color. Once the green climber grows lush, the leaves will cover the plastic bottle.
Tie the green climber seedlings to the plant column, and they will wrap around it as they grow. Water the flower pot thoroughly and also water the plant column thoroughly to ensure that the soil in both the pot and the column is moist. As the green climber grows, aerial roots will appear on the vines, which can penetrate the holes in the bottle body to absorb nutrients from the soil in the column.
Precautions
1. For newly planted green climbers, since the vines are still short, just one or two plastic bottles will suffice. As the green climber grows and the branches get longer, we can increase the number of bottles according to the length of the vines. Eventually, the green climber vines will wrap around the entire column and become a "green climber tree."
2. When setting up the plant column, be careful not to make it too tall, generally 1-2 meters is sufficient. If the plant column is too tall, it will be unstable and may fall over. It is best to place some sand or stones at the bottom of the bottle to make the column more stable.
3. If the bottles are stacked too high and the plant column is prone to falling, you can also insert a stick inside the bottle as shown in the picture to increase stability.
4. If conditions allow, you can buy some palm bark online to wrap around the plant column, which will make it more aesthetically pleasing. Alternatively, you can wrap the column with black cloth. It's also fine not to wrap it, as the leaves of the green climber vines will gradually cover the plastic bottles.
The above sharing of how to make a green climber column and the detailed method of using plastic bottles to create a plant column is for the reference of green plant enthusiasts, hoping to solve your problems in green plant and flower management.
