Watering should be done when the soil is dry to slightly moist, avoiding too much watering or letting it get too dry to prevent the stems from shrinking (you can touch the soil in the pot with your index finger, and if there's no moisture up to the first knuckle, which is about 2-3 centimeters deep, then it's time to water). Do not overwater to prevent root rot. Water in the afternoon or morning, not at noon, especially when the pot side facing south is hot from the sun. If watered at this time, the pot can generate heat that may damage the roots. During the hottest summer days, water with a fungicide solution once or twice (this is very important to prevent root rot).
The soil should be mainly sandy loam (consider repotting every 2-3 years), with coarse particles, mixed with nutrient-rich soil. When flower buds appear, you can spray a small amount of potassium dihydrogen phosphate (it's not expensive, usually about 2 yuan per pack).
