The African Violet is a perennial herbaceous plant with a flowering period from spring to autumn. It can also bloom in winter if there is sufficient light. The flowers come in various colors, including white, purple, light purple, or pink. The fruit is a capsule with extremely fine seeds. It prefers a warm climate, dislikes high temperatures, is somewhat shade-tolerant, and grows best in diffused light. It thrives in fertile, loose, neutral or slightly acidic soil. Native to the tropical regions of East Africa, the plant is small and dainty with colorful flowers that bloom throughout the year, making it an excellent indoor flower. It is internationally renowned as a potted plant and is particularly popular in Europe and America.
