In the world of flowers, there are tens of thousands of varieties. Just like humans, some flowers and plants can coexist, while others do not get along well together. Therefore, when farmers grow crops or gardeners arrange flowers, they always consider the relationships of symbiosis and antipathy between plants. If incompatible flowers and plants are planted together, they will mutually suppress and compete with each other. The following four types of flowers and plants have an "incompatible" relationship and should not be planted together, or none will grow well.
First type: Sun-loving plants and shade-loving plants
Based on the different preferences for sunlight, flowers and plants can be divided into sun-loving plants, shade-loving plants, semi-shade plants, and so on. The most contrasting categories are sun-loving plants and shade-loving plants. If these two types of plants are planted together, one of them will definitely not grow well. Let's take the example of sunflowers and bamboo plants:
Sunflowers are typical sun-loving flowers and should be placed in a sunny location all year round. Only with a large amount of direct sunlight every day can sunflowers continuously grow and bloom.
On the other hand, bamboo plants are typical shade-loving plants. Except for the cold winter, the pots should be placed in a shaded environment most of the time. Their leaves are very delicate and can only accept soft scattered light. Once exposed to strong direct sunlight, a large number of leaves will be sunburned and turn yellow.
When planting flowers and plants, you must never plant sunflowers and bamboo plants together. If they are planted in the same pot, either the light is too weak and sunflowers will not bloom, or the light is too strong and bamboo plants will be sunburned and their leaves will wither.
Therefore, when planting flowers and plants, plants with different light preferences should not be mixed. Sun-loving plants should be placed in well-lit positions, while shade-loving plants should be placed in shaded environments.

Second type: Plants that prefer rich fertilization and plants that prefer light fertilization
It is common knowledge that fertilizing is necessary for growing flowers. However, different plant species have different tolerance levels for fertilizers. Some prefer rich fertilization, while others need only light fertilization. Plants that like rich fertilization and those that prefer light fertilization should not be planted together. For example, tiger skin orchids and Chinese roses are a perfect example:
Tiger skin orchids, a familiar potted flower to many, have thick and fleshy leaves that can store a lot of water and nutrients. Therefore, they prefer relatively poor soil. No fertilization is needed in summer and winter, and only a light amount of thin fertilizer is needed every 1-2 months during the rapid growth periods of spring and autumn. High fertilizer concentrations can burden the roots and may even cause the entire plant to die.
Chinese roses, on the other hand, are the complete opposite of tiger skin orchids. They require a lot of fertilizer for both leaf growth and blooming, hence the nickname "fertilizer basket." Regular maintenance requires a lot of water and fertilizer. If the fertilizer is insufficient, Chinese roses will grow slowly and have significantly fewer flowers.
