What is a stick tree?
For most women, what kind of plant is a stick tree and some small knowledge of flowering, let's get to know together.
There are really various styles in the large family of succulents, some are as cute as Bingdeng Yulu, some are as beautiful as Rainbow Jasper, and some have unique styles, following the "ugly cute" route, such as Woniú, Shengshihua, and today's main character shared by Huahua - stick tree.
Ahem, don't misunderstand, flower friends, this "stick" is not that "stick", it's called this name because it looks too much like a slippery stick, not because it can't find a "girlfriend" in the succulent circle! Don't be so hurtful, oh no, hurt the meat!
Although the stick tree is not as cute as other succulents, it has also received a lot of welcome and love from flower friends, because it looks greasy, although there are almost no leaves on its smooth stems, but the branches are bushy, and it looks a bit like coral, so it also has the nickname "coral tree". It is said that the stick tree used to have leaves, but because the original place is too hot, having leaves would increase the evaporation of water, so the leaves gradually degenerated and disappeared.
The stick tree has a unique appearance but a gentle temperament, and it does not have high requirements for the growing environment, so it is relatively easy to care for. Therefore, flower friends don't need to worry too much when raising stick trees!
What is a stick tree?
The stick tree is especially drought-resistant, and watering does not need to be too frequent, just water when the pot soil is dry, and even less in winter. However, when watering the stick tree, it must be watered thoroughly, otherwise, if only half of the water is poured, it will easily cause problems with the roots of the stick tree. But waiting for the water to flow out from the bottom of the pot is time-consuming, so what should we do?
Dealing with this issue, Huahua usually does this: prepare a basin larger than the pot, fill it with a lot of water, and soak the pot with soil in the water, then take it out and put it in a ventilated place to dry after about ten minutes. Ten minutes is enough time to fill the soil with water, so there will basically be no problem of insufficient watering or accumulated water and rotting roots!
The stick tree has strict requirements for sunlight, it is best to put it in a place with continuous sunlight, after all, its original place has abundant sunlight and it is used to it, if there is not enough sunlight, it will be wilted. Moreover, although it is rare, the stick tree can also bloom. Therefore, flower friends must ensure the condition of sunlight, maybe one day it will bloom!
