Periwinkle
Periwinkle, also known as Calendula, Four Seasons Spring, Daily Spring, and Daily New, is a subshrub plant of the Apocynaceae Catharanthus genus. Periwinkle has a strong adaptability to the environment, few diseases and pests, and blooms very frequently. As long as it is properly cared for, it can bloom almost all year round (it needs to be placed in a warm room in winter to bloom). Cutting periwinkle requires a higher temperature. If the ambient temperature is too low, the branches will not be able to root. After Qingming Festival, the weather is warm but not hot, making it highly successful for cutting.
Cutting Method
Cut some tender branches of periwinkle, be sure to use tender branches, as old branches are difficult to root. Cut the branches to 6~8 centimeters long, leaving 2 leaves on each section, and cut off the rest of the leaves.
Mix equal parts of decomposed leaf soil and coarse river sand as the cutting medium. Add the medium to the flowerpot, then insert the branches into the pot and water thoroughly.
Place the watered pot in a place with diffused light, avoiding direct sunlight, and care for 7~15 days. During this period, keep the soil moist and water when the soil surface becomes dry.

About 7~15 days later, the cut periwinkle branches will grow many roots. Carefully remove the branches from the soil and plant them separately in small pots, and we can harvest many periwinkle seedlings.
Plumbago auriculata
Plumbago auriculata, also known as mountain gray wood, is a very popular flower plant among flower lovers in recent years. The branches of Plumbago auriculata can grow very tall, with evergreen green leaves and trumpet-shaped flowers composed of 5 small petals, in a rare blue color, which looks like a blue sea when blooming in groups.
Cutting Method
Plumbago auriculata has strong vitality and rooting ability, making it very easy to cut. First, cut some tender branches from Plumbago auriculata. Cut the branches into short sections of 5~7 centimeters, leaving 3~5 leaves on each section, and cut off the excess leaves.
Prepare some clean coarse river sand and put it in the flowerpot. Then insert the cut branches into the pot. Place the pot in a shaded area and maintain an ambient temperature of above 15 degrees. Cut for 10~15 days, keeping the sand moist and watering when the surface becomes white and dry.
