In order to welcome the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, our garden has been relying on the scientific research project "Selection and Garden Application of New and Excellent Varieties of Lotus and Water Lily during the Asian Games" since 2021, and has selected new and excellent lotus varieties with strong ornamental value, strong adaptability, and convenient maintenance for the period of the Asian Games. The professional technical team has conducted experiments on delaying flowering and prolonging green leaf period for nearly 30 lotus varieties, including "Fairy Scattering Flowers", "qingping-xiang", "Listening to Maple", "Mrs. Berli", "Autumn Wind Drunk Dance", and "Tianzi Autumn Lotus" through technical means such as double sowing, changing containers, and thinning flowers and leaves.
