What are the reasons for the withering of climber roses?
Did everyone go out to play during the National Day holiday, or did you take advantage of the holiday to tidy up the garden and balcony? Indeed, it's the season for cleaning up. Those who need to collect flower pots should do so, and those who need to change varieties are almost ready. Yesterday, while tidying up the garden, I found two major losses, which was quite a heartache, so I am sharing this with you today to give everyone a heads up.
This climber rose was planted last year, with a honey caramel color, and it has been growing well. If it continues to grow like this, next year it will definitely be full of blooming flowers. Look at its appearance this spring; although it didn't bloom much, it was indeed beautiful.
The two shoots that grew last autumn have already bloomed beautifully this spring, and several strong shoots have grown this summer. It was supposed to form a flower wall next spring, but now it's gone like this.
Why do climber roses wither?
What are the reasons for the withering of climber roses?
Actually, it is due to my personal management. This summer has been continuously rainy and overcast, and the management of roses has been quite slack, basically left to their own devices.
In fact, I have encountered this situation in previous years as well, so in the spring, I had already bought various pest control medicines from the Green Plant Enthusiast Network. But due to laziness, I didn't administer the medicine in time to prevent, and this phenomenon appeared by autumn.
This is one of the plants, and there is another one with purple robes and jade belts, which has also suffered from pest damage, with half of its branches hollowed out and dehydrated.
This purple robe and jade belt plant has bloomed beautifully in the spring, but it seems that there's not much hope for next spring.
What exactly caused this? The answer is underground pests! The common underground pests that can directly cause climber roses to wither are the larvae of the scarab beetle and the larvae of the longicorn beetle.
