Why won't your cactus, which you've been growing for 10 years, bloom when even my 3 cm cactus has bloomed?

My 3 cm cactus has bloomed, why hasn't your cactus bloomed after 10 years of cultivation?

Let me share with you my small experience in plant cultivation. My 3 cm cactus has bloomed, why hasn't your cactus bloomed after 10 years of cultivation? The specific introduction is as follows:

Has your cactus bloomed?

Although it is already autumn, a cactus I am raising has bloomed again in the past few days. When my neighbor came to play, he asked me in surprise:

Your cactus is so small and has bloomed, why hasn't my cactus bloomed after 10 years of cultivation?

Oh, this sounds a bit strange. A cactus that has been cultivated for 10 years must be very large, why hasn't it bloomed yet?

I was also curious, so I went to my neighbor's house to investigate...

Haha... it is indeed quite large, but this guy's name is Euphorbia. Many people think that Euphorbia does not bloom, but actually Euphorbia can bloom. It just needs to be cultivated for 20-30 years to bloom, and it requires a higher amount of sunlight, so it is rare to see Euphorbia bloom.

In fact, besides the reason of variety, the more reasons why cacti do not bloom are in our maintenance.

Many cactus enthusiasts have insufficient knowledge about cacti and easily fall into the following three misunderstandings. Although the cacti are doing well, it is difficult for them to bloom.

1. Cacti do not need watering

When people think of cacti, they think of deserts. Thinking of such a dry place where cacti can grow, it is certain that cacti are very drought-resistant, and it is thought that there is no need to water cacti.

But water is the source of life. Without sufficient water, it is difficult for cacti to grow healthily, and blooming is even more difficult.

If you don't water for a long time and the potting soil is too dry, it will lead to the drying of the cactus roots. When encountering some humidity and new roots have grown, once they are short of water, the roots will dry up again, and the ball cannot even grow normally, let alone bloom.

In the process of maintaining cacti, you should follow the principle of thorough watering when the soil is dry. You should water when you find that the potting soil has become dry. If you are not sure, you can insert a wooden stick into the soil. If the half position of the potting soil is no longer moist, you can water.

Only with sufficient water can cacti grow normally. When the ball is strong, blooming becomes possible.
