2. Handling the Bulbs
When planting cyclamen bulbs, choose bulbs that are strong and free from disease. Before potting, trim off the withered, old, and rotten roots, leaving only the healthy roots. After trimming, spray the wound with a carbendazim solution for disinfection. After handling, place the small bulbs in the sun to dry for 2 days before planting.
3. Planting Method
When planting cyclamen bulbs, you can directly bury the dried bulbs in the soil, with the depth controlled to two-thirds of the bulb, leaving part of the bulb in the summer on the soil surface to allow it to germinate better. Avoid watering immediately after planting to ensure the potting soil remains slightly dry, preventing bulb rot.
4. Post-Planting Care
One week after potting, slowly pour water along the edge of the pot, ensuring the soil is half-dry. Also, maintain a stable temperature of around 20°C and ensure good ventilation, allowing the bulbs to recover growth as soon as possible. After the bulbs have germinated, apply a small amount of thin fertilizer.
