Duli flowers are usually propagated by播种 (播种 meaning sowing) and division. Sowing propagation often uses indoor pot sowing, with about 100 seeds per gram, and the suitable germination temperature is 20-22°C. Seeds will germinate in 10-14 days, with a germination rate of 80%-85%. If the day temperature is 27°C and the night temperature is 18°C, seeds can germinate in 5-7 days. The time from sowing to flowering for potted Duli flowers is about 80-100 days.
Division propagation is best done in early spring (February or March) after the soil thaws. Remove the mother plant from the pot, shake off the excess soil, and try to separate the tangled roots as much as possible. Due to significant root damage, the absorption capacity is very weak, and it takes about 3-4 weeks to recover and grow new roots. To maintain the moisture balance of the leaves, it is necessary to spray the leaf surface 1-3 times a day (more spraying in high temperatures and less or none in low temperatures).
