How to maintain Fusang seedlings in spring

As a typical tropical shrub, the maintenance quality of Hibiscus seedlings in spring directly affects the growth of the whole year. Mastering scientific cultivation methods can not only promote root development, but also avoid damage caused by late spring cold. This article will systematically analyze the key points of spring cultivation of Hibiscus japonica seedlings from environmental regulation to daily management. Four elements of the spring environment are managed to accurately control water and prevent waterlogging. The roots of hibiscus seedlings are delicate. It is recommended to adopt the "see dry and wet" method: water is poured thoroughly when the surface soil turns white, and the frequency is maintained for 7-10 days per time. The water volume needs to be controlled to 2/3 of the normal volume before March, and returned to normal after the average daily temperature stabilizes at 15℃. Using flowerpots with drainage holes and laying a 2cm ceramsite layer on the bottom can effectively prevent stagnant water and root rot. Stepped temperature control is best to keep 18-25℃ during the seedling period, and triple protection is needed in early spring: 1. When the temperature is less than 10℃, move into the indoor south sill 2. Wear a transparent plastic bag for insulation at night 3. Opening bags for ventilation at noon for 2 hours after grain rain, seedlings can be gradually cultivated outdoors, and transition through sunshade nets to avoid excessive temperature differences leading to falling leaves. The light intensity should be controlled at 4-6 hours/day to adapt to direct spring light. The "three-period lighting method" should be adopted: ·Full sunshine in the morning (8-11 o'clock)·30% shade at noon (11-14 o'clock)·Scattered light in the afternoon (14-17 o'clock) Regularly rotate the flowerpot to ensure uniform light on all sides and avoid off-the-crown growth. Indoor maintenance of three-dimensional ventilation system requires establishing air convection: ·Window opening period: South window opening is opened from 10 to 15 o'clock·Equipment assistance: circulation fan is 1.5 meters away from the plants and operates at low speed·Spatial layout: Plant spacing is>30cm and the north wind above Level 5 Close the windows and switch to a fresh air system for ventilation. Collaborative prevention and control of pests and diseases spraying 1:200 bamboo vinegar in early spring can prevent scale insects, and use yellow boards to monitor insect conditions. When coal pollution disease was discovered, the infected leaves were removed immediately, and the entire plant was sprayed with 800 times of polyantimycin solution for three consecutive treatments (5 days apart).

Through scientific environmental control and refined management, Hibiscus seedlings can form 5-7 pairs of functional leaves in spring, laying the foundation for the peak flowering period in summer. It is recommended to record growth data every month and adjust maintenance plans in a timely manner so that tropical flowers can bloom brilliantly in temperate areas.
