It is believed that most flower enthusiasts, like花花, raise their first pot of flowers, which is the very cute succulent plant. Succulents have always captured the hearts of thousands of flower enthusiasts with their soft and adorable appearance. However, succulent plants are actually not as easy to care for as flower enthusiasts imagine. It is a bit challenging for novice flower enthusiasts to grow succulents well. Today,花花 comes to share 5 small experiences of my own in caring for succulents, hoping to help everyone!
1. Soil
Succulent plants prefer to grow in dry soil environments, mainly with loose and breathable sandy soil, as this type of soil has better drainage and aeration, making it more suitable for succulent growth. Also, when you buy succulent plants from the flower market, it's best to choose a warm day to change the potting soil for them, because the soil that comes with them is not very suitable for their healthy growth.
2. Temperature
Another important aspect of caring for succulent plants is to ensure a suitable growth temperature. Generally, 15 to 25 degrees Celsius is the most suitable for their growth. However, as long as the temperature does not exceed 35 degrees or drop below 5 degrees, most succulent plants will not enter a dormant period and will continue to grow normally.
However, when ensuring a suitable temperature, it is also important to ensure good ventilation conditions when caring for succulents. Otherwise, they will become very listless if they grow in a stuffy and hot environment, affecting their ornamental value.

3. Watering
Succulent leaves are relatively thick and have some water storage capacity, so they do not require much water. Generally, they can be watered relatively frequently in spring and autumn, about once a week, every half a month in summer, and once a month in winter. Flower enthusiasts should also summarize their watering experience based on the actual situation of their own succulents. For example, withered and softened leaves are signals of water shortage, and watering thoroughly in time can help them recover slowly.
4. Light
Succulent plants also have certain requirements for light. They prefer sunny weather. If flower enthusiasts can ensure they receive more than 8 hours of sufficient sunlight every day, the succulents in their homes will grow very beautifully. Therefore, it is sufficient to place them directly on a south-facing balcony or windowsill for care in the spring, autumn, and winter seasons.
However, proper shading is required in the summer because too strong sunlight can burn their leaves, preventing the succulents from growing healthily, or even endangering their lives.
