How to plant soybeans in detail: soybean planting methods

How to Plant Soybeans

This article brings you the experience of how to plant soybeans and detailed explanations of soybean cultivation methods in the aspect of green plant maintenance. Please see the detailed introduction below.

Soybeans are an important economic crop. In recent years, many places have started to cultivate high-yield soybeans. Due to immature technology, some soybeans fail to achieve the expected results, seedlings do not emerge on time after sowing, and seedling growth is affected by diseases and pests, leading to low yield and poor quality of soybeans. It is important to know that to achieve high and quality yields of soybeans, it is necessary to do enough work in land preparation, sowing, weeding, and topdressing.

I. Land Preparation

For planting soybeans, choose soil with good irrigation and drainage and deep soil layers. Before sowing, spread fertilizers evenly on the ground and plow them into the soil per mu, including 1-2 tons of high-quality farm manure, 10-13 kilograms of phosphate fertilizer, 3 kilograms of potassium sulfate, and 1 kilogram of zinc fertilizer, followed by land preparation.

II. Sowing

When the local soil temperature stabilizes at 7-8°C, sowing can begin, with small row spacing of 10-12 centimeters. The density should be determined based on the characteristics of the soybean variety, water and fertilizer conditions, and cultivation methods, generally ensuring 270,000-320,000 seedlings per hectare. Adhere to the principle of "seeds and fertilizers in separate boxes, not mixed, no contact between seeds and fertilizers after sowing, no double sowing, no missing sowing, and no broken rows" to ensure even sowing.

III. Weeding

Weeding should be done 5-7 days before sowing after land preparation, ensuring uniform application of the herbicide, accurate flow, and no overlap or missed spots. If no chemical weeding is done before sowing soybeans, chemical weeding can be carried out from after sowing to before seedlings emerge.

IV. Foliar Topdressing

During the soybean flowering and podding stage, appropriate topdressing can be done based on the specific conditions of the soybeans. If growth is poor, foliar topdressing can be performed. If soybeans grow too luxuriantly during the flowering stage and tend to lodging, multiple-effect唑 or other dwarfing and strengthening agents can be sprayed to promote dwarfing and balanced growth of soybeans.
