The method is to pinch the top when the plant grows to 15-20 cm, and when the lower side buds reach 6-7, pinch again. Finally, promote the growth of 12-14 side buds, and then perform the second pinching in mid-August. After the first flowering, cut the flower stem and leave two buds on each branch.
2. Disease Prevention and Control
Common diseases in potted carnations include leaf spot, viral disease, and wilt. When a disease occurs, you can purchase the corresponding chemical agents for prevention and treatment. Also, make sure to remove standing water, maintain ventilation and lighting, and improve the plant's growing environment.
