Hairy Melastoma is an erect shrub. Stems and branches are densely covered with horizontally spreading brown-purple coarse hair and short villous hair. Leaves are elliptical, with distinct main veins and pubescent on both sides. Cymose inflorescence, with several flowers grouped at the top of the branch, blooming in spring and summer.
