Bravo Cactus (Ariocarpus bravoanus) - belongs to the Rock Cactus genus of the Cactaceae family, native to Mexico - San Luis Potosi, also known as Kai Cactus and Dragon Bone Cactus. Ariocarpus bravoanus is one of the most sought-after plants in Mexico. This species starts to bloom at a relatively young age, and their拳head flowers are even larger than the plant itself, with a flowering period from August to October. It resembles Ariocarpus agavoides but has coarser and thicker leaves that gather together.

Note: This species was accidentally discovered among a larger collection of specimens extracted during the demolition of the Cactus Herbarium at the National Autonomous University of Mexico by Hector Hernandez. The name of this species is in memory of Helia Bravo, who made significant contributions to the study of cacti in Mexico. According to the latest information, Ariocarpus fissuratus ssp. bravoanus and Ariocarpus bravoanus are the same species, and the current name is Ariocarpus bravoanus H.M.Hern. & E.F.Anderson 1992. Ariocarpus bravoanus is closely related to the Ariocarpus fissuratus variety hintonii.
