Plumbago auriculata, also known as prairie gentian. Belongs to the Gentianaceae family. Plant height 30-100 cm. Leaves are alternate, broad elliptical to lanceolate, almost sessile, leaf base slightly embraces the stem; leaf surface is blue-green.
